David at a glance

Studied: MBA, Babson College, Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business

Works as: Senior Manager, Strategic Customer Relations at Bioventus Surgical

“To share my experiences so I can inspire others to change”

David works as a strategic customer relations manager, where he works closely with surgeons, educating them about his company’s products and passing on their feedback to the product development team at his organization. The job requires him to connect and build trusting relationships, and figure out how to best help each other, something he loves to do, approaching each relationship with his characteristic honesty and transparency.

Giving back is a big part of David’s life. He volunteers at church, has guided inner-city children to choose better lives for themselves, and is a sponsor in his recovery program. The latter is close to his heart, but also challenging. It requires vulnerability and trust but does not necessarily give results.

Whatever challenges he faces, David tries to remain grateful and positive, which eases the stress and anxiety of the moment. Meditation, prayer, and mindfulness keep him centered and calm. He also walks and hikes, which connect him to nature. Such things not only help him stay present but also help him be less self-involved and more fit mentally and physically to give the best of himself fully to people in his work and family.

Writing is David’s biggest joy, and he is currently working on a book that gently introduces meditation and mindfulness. He hopes people can reap the benefits of meditation and mindfulness as he has, and the book is a simple guide to get people to make meditation a habit.

David brings his creativity and collaborative skills to EduCom, which he joined after being impressed by its mission during a chance meeting with its CEO. He is already brimming with ideas to boost EduCom’s profile, widen its reach globally, and raise funds in creative ways.
